Our February meeting will feature a presentation by Greg Phillipy, executive director of the Tennessee Agricultural Museum. Having grown up in Crieve Hall, he is a graduate of John Overton High School and received an undergraduate degree in Sculpture/Art History as well as graduate degree in Public History/Historic Preservation from Middle Tennessee State University.
The Tennessee Agricultural Museum is managed by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture with a mission to educate visitors about Tennessee's rural heritage and the importance of farming and forestry in the state. Over 25,000 schoolchildren and adults visit the museum every year for hands-on, educational, and specialized programs.
As always, our meetings include a potluck meal and door prizes! Visitors are always welcome and we look forward to seeing you!
